Site Specific Commission

We're working in partnership with Gingko Projects and Torbay Council to provide a 48-hour site-specific piece in the first week of July. The project is currently accepting tenders, with submission due on 31 May.

Torbay Connected: Noisemaking installation / event

Ginkgo Projects is working for Torbay Council to deliver Torbay Connected. Torbay Connected is a cross cutting project that aims to promote and develop a system of natural legibility and place enhancement through promoting the role of creativity and culture within the main routes and developments in the Bay.

The aim is this project is to to generate a 'noisemaking' event which alters perceptions and builds a narrative of the Torquay Harbour to Torre Abbey pedestrian route and which offers a degree of spectacle which invites audience response and interaction.

Expressions of interest are invited from artists who are willing to collaborate with us and work to develop a innovative public event / installation. Budget in the region of 7k for fees and materials.

Deadline for submissions: 5pm 31st May 2010. Confirmation meeting: 3rd June
